There was an awful house fire early on Tuesday morning(10/29/13). Firefighters from all over Chester County had to step in to help put out this fire that affected a local family from Malvern. They lost their 4 pets in the blaze and almost all of their belongings, all four family members are lucky to be alive. The family of four consists of a 2 year old toddler, her two parents and her Grandmother.
According to the Malvern Patch, there will be a donation drive on Friday the 1st of November, at Homecooked in Paoli. This drive is to collect diapers/wipes for the family’s two-and-a-half year old girl (size 4 diapers) along with cash, checks, and retail gift cards.
Please do not donate any other items to this location at this time, they are not in a new home yet and have no room for storage.
One can also help this family with monetary donations. These can be made directly at the National Bank of Malvern, or mailed to National Bank of Malvern, PO Box 38, Malvern PA 19355. Please make your check payable to ‘Duffy Family Relief Fund.’
The friends and family of the Duffy Family have created a Sign Up Genius link, this way they can keep track of donations and won’t have too many of one particular item. Please check this list before donating any items.
Lets help this family get back on their feet and show them why Chester County is the BEST county to live in.
